UWG technology

UWG technology brings new innovations on the tracks - sections of railway tracks are not assembled before laid, rails are not changed and transported; sets of complete switches are laid, after welded on assembly grate. 75 m long sections of railway tracks are normally laid.

Technological process of removing part of railway track (switches):

While removing part of railway track (switches), PUM lifting cranes and MWT carriers are towed or self-driven to the working place and positioned on the changed railway track. After the railway track is lifted by means of the lifting cranes, auxiliary CRA rails, assembled on the same track behind the changed railway track, is positioned under the cranes. Auxiliary CRA rails are joined to the track by means of ramps. Carriers MWT are moved onto the auxiliary rails and positioned under the railway track.

PUM cranes lay the railway track onto the MWT carriers and the whole unit is towed to the disassembling place. The auxiliary rails are removed, so as not to be an obstacle during the work.

When laying a new part (railway track, switches), the technological process is the same, but in the opposite way.

Technical specification:

Lifting crane PUM:
- Nominal lifting force: 160 kN (=16 t)
- Lifting speed: 2.5 m/min
- Speed of horizontal movement, self-driven: 0 - 5 km/h
- Speed of horizontal movement, towed: 20 km/h
- Weight: 3.6 t
- Max. length of railway track laid (removed): 150 m
Carrier MWT (hydraulically controlled from PUM):
- Nominal loading capacity: 160 kN (=16t)
- Speed of horizontal movement (towed) unladen: 20 km/h
- Speed of horizontal movement (towed) laden: 6 km/h
- Weight: 2.4 t
