Road-Rail vehicle PRAGA ALFA DUOLINER - PD

PRAGA ALFA DUOLINER - PD is a Road-Rail vehicle equipped with a rail gear designed for ride on rails and a body superstructure - a mobile workroom. The vehicle is designed for ride and maintenance work both on rails and road. As the mobile workroom can be equipped with almost all possible equipment (gas-welding unit, welding equipment, central electric block, lathe etc.), this Road-Rail vehicle can suitably be used for small and more complex repairing work both on railway track and beside the track.

Transmission of power output on the driven rail wheels is hydrostatic during the ride on rails. The road tyres are raised in the upper position during ride on rails. The vehicle brake is hydropneumatic. Movement of mechanisms is hydraulic and controlled from the driver's cab.
